This painting is inspired by a memory I have as a child visiting my grandparents, aunt, uncle and three cousins at Lake Santee, Indiana. My memory is of my cousins and I huddled up in the back room that had a huge picture window overlooking a forest that seemed to beckon us to it. We would play on the swing-set and pick the grand-daddy longlegs off the ground. One of my favorites was picking daisies and placing their stems ever so carefully among the tight curls of my grandfathers hair. Acrylic on canvas, includes rustic stained frame.
