In this sun-drenched scene I imagined standing in the middle of towering Aspens in Utah in what is believed to be one of the oldest known living organisms on the planet. They named it Pando, also known as "trembling giant". The plant occupies 106 acres and is estimated to be 80,000 years old. Acrylic on canvas with lots of texture created by molding paste. Includes rustic stained frame.
